Definition: Galvanized angle steel is a metal material that has undergone galvanizing treatment on ordinary angle steel. By coating the surface of the angle steel with a layer of zinc, its performance is improved.
Classification: According to the manufacturing process, it can be divided into hot-dip galvanized angle steel and cold-dip galvanized angle steel; according to the side length, it can be divided into galvanized equal-leg angle steel and galvanized unequal-leg angle steel.
Manufacturing Process
Hot-dip galvanized angle steel: The rust-removed angle steel is immersed in molten zinc at approximately 500℃, causing a zinc layer to adhere to the surface. The process includes pickling, washing, immersion in flux, drying and preheating, plating, cooling, passivation, cleaning, and polishing.
Cold-dip galvanized angle steel: A zinc-filler-containing coating is applied to the surface to be protected. After drying, a zinc-filler coating is formed. Electrochemical principles ensure sufficient contact between the zinc powder and the steel, creating an electrode potential difference for corrosion protection.
Application Areas
Construction: Used for structural support, earthquake-resistant equipment, frames, rebar supports, formwork, railings, door and window frames, etc.
Industrial: Used to manufacture vehicle frames, shelves, supports, mechanical parts, and other industrial products. It is also widely used in the manufacture of power equipment, communication equipment, and conveying equipment.
Transportation: Used for road guardrails, traffic lights, railway tracks, road signs, and traffic signs.
Other Areas: Used to make display racks, furniture, cable supports, and other everyday items. It is also used in agricultural facilities such as farmland fences and greenhouse frames.
